Introduction
We didn’t had to put our Semester Project in this portfolio, but I’m really happy with the result and design so I wanted to have this in the portfolio too.
For this semester project we were asked to complete an authentic graphic design project for a real or fictitious client. The main task for this project is making printable products and show what we have leaned so far in the semester. Before I could start with the project, I had to write a project description and make a work schedule and get this approved by the teachers. I chose to use a fictitious client since it’s so early in the study. I wanted to make a brand from scratch so my client is a young photographer that needed logo, brochures, business card, photobox design, thank you cards and different signs.
Name of customer:
Sarah Blair
Business / Concept:
She is a small photographer that’s photographs newborns, children, maternity, and weddings. She provides a studio, but she is known for her outdoor photos.
Profile:
She is an elegant young woman, but also down to earth. I was able to watch a newborn session where I could see how she works, and she has a really calming appearance, calming voice and I could see why she is starting to be big an amazing photographer.
Vision:
She sees herself to be a big name in the photographer industry, winning awards and being fully booked several months ahead.
Audience:
The audience is wide, pregnant women’s, parent/parents with children, couple that’s going to get married.
Justification for the choice of customer:
This is a fictional customer that I chose because it’s a big industry with a lot of talents, so I wanted to challenge myself to build up a brand in this industry where there already is so many similar logos.
